Connor Coffin drove in the go-ahead run with a single in the fifth inning as the Yachtsmen (2-3) beat the Rams (2-7) at Falmouth.

Bennett Berg’s single in the third scored Tre Fletcher and gave Deering a 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the inning, Brady Coyne doubled for Falmouth and scored on an error to make it 1-1. Coyne also scored the go-ahead run.

Bennett Smith earned the win, allowing five hits and one walk with three strikeouts.

Falmouth Yachtsmen vs South Portland Red Riots

SOUTH PORTLAND 2, FALMOUTH 0

The Red Riots (5-0) scored a pair of unearned runs in the bottom of the first and Hunter Owen made them stand up, pitching a complete-game shutout in a win over Falmouth (0-3) in South Portland.

Owen allowed two hits, struck out 16 and didn’t walk a batter for South Portland.

Ike Kiely had both hits for Falmouth.

Falmouth Yachtsmen vs Portland Bulldogs

PORTLAND 2, FALMOUTH 0

Ben Sawyer broke a scoreless tie with a two-run single in the fifth inning, and Donnie Tocci pitched a three-hit shutout, striking out 12, as the Bulldogs won an opener at Portland.

William Barnard added two hits for Portland.

Ike Kiely had two hits for Falmouth, including a triple, and Garrett Tracy allowed two runs and struck out four in five innings.
