Falmouth Downs Marshwood 4-1

This had the feeling of a game that was really close until the end. With a RBI double in the first, Ethan Hendry put Falmouth up 1-0. Marshwood responded with a run in the bottom 3rd. Both teams fielded well hit balls as there were only six strike outs combined. In the 5th with Cowperthwaite on first, Hendry hit a triple in the right center gap to add another run. With a 2-1 lead going into the 7th, Falmouth managed two more runs to take the game 4-1 with Gill adding a RBI single. Ham and Gay each had two hits each.

Falmouth JV Baseball outpaces Marshwood 14-4.

After giving up 3 runs in the 3rd, JV responds with 8 runs in the 5th. Grimes, Jason, Nick and Luka Roediger, Severino and Healey all contributed with RBI’s. Ethan Jason had another strong performance on the mound surrendering 4 runs over 5 innings, striking out 5. Healey threw one inning in relief. Multiple hits by Roediger, Jason, Healey, Severino and Christman.

Navigators cruise past Cheverus 6-1

Sometimes a picture says a thousand words. Dom Tracy had a day going 3 for 3 with a HR and 2 doubles. Bennett Smith had a solid outing allowing 6 hits over 5 innings. Gill and Rumpf came in to close out the game. While Tracy had 3 RBI’s, Hendry, Gill and Rumpf each had RBI’s in the 5th.

Falmouth JV Baseball Sails to 11-1 Victory over Cheverus

Led by a strong outing by Thomas Healey, surrendering one run on three hits over five innings, striking out 11. The Navigators had hot bats and fast feet as well, notching 12 hits and 10 stolen bases. Nick Roediger led Falmouth going 3 for 3. Luka Roediger and Rowan Haggerty each had multiple hits while Mikey Christman stole 3 bases.

JV and Varsity suffer their first losses at the hands of TA

Falmouth JV watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 3-1 loss to Thornton Academy. Colby Morse went 2 for 3 at the plate.

In the Varsity match up, Thornton struck early with a 1st at bat home run. For the next few innings, each teams defense held the game scoreless until a combination of walks and hits had TA up 6-0 after the top of the 4th. In the bottom, Ethan Hendry hit a home run to make the score 6-1 but that wasn’t enough to spur a rally and Falmouth fell to Thornton 8-1.
