Falmouth Varsity and JV Beat Biddeford in a Thursday showdown

In the Varsity game, Ethan Hendry hit a two run single in the fifth to give the Navigators some breathing room. Dom Tracy allowed just 3 hits over 5 innings with Bennett Smith coming in to finish the game in relief. Final Score: 2-0.

In the JV matchup, Falmouth was victorious 9-4. Birks doubled in the second to score 2 runs. White, Laliberte, Birks, Christman and Severino all had multiple hits. Ethan Jason pitched six innings, allowing seven hits and 4 runs while striking out 4. Laliberte recorded the save. Another note, Falmouth JV had nine stolen bases.

Falmouth JV Baseball – back and forth battle ends in victory with Portland

The Falmouth JV Navigators took a well fought battle against Portland 7-4 at Deering Oaks Park Thursday afternoon. Ethan Jason and Rowan Haggerty combined for the win on the mound with Jason pitching 4 innings on 3 hits and 5 strike outs while Haggerty recorded the final 9 outs. Falmouth also saw the ball well today and racked up 10 hits, with White and Birks with 3 hits apiece and Colby Morse with 2.

Cowperthwaite pitches gem in win over Portland

Eli Cowperthwaite pitched 6 innings with 13 strike outs and 2 hits. Rumpf closed out the game with 2 SO’s to finish a very strong pitching performance. Gill and Simmons both had multiple hit nights. While Falmouth only had 6 hits total, they capitalized on strong base running and timely hits to take the shutout win 6-0. Next up, Massebesic on Saturday at 10AM at Massebesic High School.
