Mike D’Andrea Named Falmouth HS Baseball Head Coach

The Falmouth HS baseball community is pleased to welcome Mike D’Andrea as the new head baseball coach. Falmouth athletic director James Coffey announced on January 10 that D’Andrea would be taking over the position.

D’Andrea has been one of the most successful HS coaches in recent history. He coached Deering High School to seven class A championships over a 10 year period between 1999 and 2008. In 2004, he led the Nova Seafood American Legion team to a national championship. He also coaches the Deering HS girls basketball to two state titles.

D’Andrea comes to Falmouth after coaching at Scarborough HS for the past 4 seasons. He won his eight state title at Scarborough last year.

As a player at Portland High School, D’Andrea won state titles in 1986 and 1987. Mike went on to pitch at the University of Maine where he set a school record for career wins. D’Andrea played professionally for several years in the Braves organization.


D’Andrea replaces Kevin Winship who resigned from Falmouth after 10 years as head coach.
