Game 1: Bennett Smith pitched a seven-hitter and also hit an RBI single to lead Falmouth (9-2) to a 3-0 win in a doubleheader opener at Gorham (7-5).

Gorham pitcher Kyle Skofield allowed only five hits, but two came during Falmouth’s two-run first inning. Sam Kidder scored the first run on a foul pop-up.

In Game 2, Falmouth scored the tying and winning runs in the sixth inning without getting a hit, taking advantage of four walks and an error. Gus Ford drew a bases-loaded walk to force home the winning run.

Gorham erased a 2-0 deficit in the fifth, thanks to an RBI single by CJ Whitehead and a two-run single by Colin McDonald.
